The French National Assembly recently confirmed that tax treaties with Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger have ceased to apply.

The 1965 treaty with Burkina Faso ended in France on 8 November, 2023, aligning with its termination in Burkina Faso.

Similarly, both the 1972 treaty with Mali and the 1965 treaty with Niger were terminated from 5 March, 2024.

The Ministry of the Economy and Finance confirmed these terminations and will soon release the necessary legal acts and administrative guidance.
