On 4 May 2023, El Salvador published the Decree No.722 which enacts the law for the promotion of technological manufacturing and innovation. On 19 April 2023, the Legislative Assembly approved this law which grants tax benefits to companies dedicated to the creation of technology.
The incentive is valid for 15 years starting from the date of the qualification agreement. These advantages apply to natural or legal persons in national or foreign who deal with the programming and maintenance of computer systems or software; development and marketing of cloud computing services, artificial intelligence and cyber security; Manufacture and assembly of parts and technological equipment, robotics and aircraft; among other things in the field of engineering of industrial technologies.
