The Commerce Ministry temporarily lifted some 2024 export controls on dual-use materials to the US, excluding military-bound shipments, from 9 November 2025 to 27 November 2026.
China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) announced on Sunday, 9 November 2025, that it will temporarily suspend part of its 2024 export-control rules on certain dual-use materials shipped to the US.
The change, effective from 9 November 2025 to 27 November 2026, applies to items such as gallium, germanium, antimony, superhard materials, and graphite. Exports to US military users remain prohibited.
Earlier, on 5 October 2025, China said it would suspend some of the retaliatory tariffs it had imposed on US imports.
