Belarus and Ghana met on 4 March 2026 to advance bilateral cooperation, including negotiations to conclude a tax treaty to prevent double taxation and fiscal evasion.
Belarus’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that on 4 March 2026, officials from Belarus and Ghana met to strengthen bilateral cooperation, including negotiations on a tax treaty aimed at preventing double taxation and fiscal evasion.
The talks covered a broad range of issues, with particular focus on preparations for the upcoming visit of Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama to Belarus. Officials reviewed the visit’s agenda and the international agreements expected to be signed, including accords on visa-free travel for diplomatic and official passports, agricultural mechanisation, export credits, and the creation of an Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, among other documents.
The proposed agreements will require negotiation, formal signing, and ratification by both countries before taking effect.
