Bangladesh’s National Board of Revenue (NBR) has further extended the deadline for filing income tax returns for both individuals and companies yesterday, 30 January 2025.
Individual taxpayers now have until 16 February to file their returns and companies have until 16 March 2025.
“As of 27 January, more than 34 lakh returns have already been submitted, and we expect this number to reach 50 lakh by the end of June,” said an NBR official.
The deadline for submitting income tax returns for all taxpayers, except companies, for the 2024-2025 fiscal year was 31 January.
Earlier, NBR had announced in a circular on 17 November 2024 that it had extended the income tax return filing deadline for individual taxpayers by one month.
