The income tax treaty between Bahrain and Oman entered into force on 16 September 2025.
Signed on 15 January 2025, it covers income taxes in both jurisdictions and sets withholding tax rates at 0% for dividends, 0% for interest, and 8% for royalties.
The treaty takes effect starting 1 January 2026.
Earlier, the Sultan of Oman issued Royal Decree 62/2025 for the ratification of the income tax treaty with Bahrain on 2 September 2025.
