The Bahraini lower chamber of the National Assembly ( Council of Representatives)  has approved the ratification of the income tax treaty with Oman on 29 April 2025.

The aim of these agreements is to strengthen the economic ties between the two countries and improve cooperation on tax-related matters.

Earlier, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain signed 25 memoranda of understandings (MoUs), which include an income tax treaty, at Al Bustan Palace Hotel on 15 January 2025.

The treaty is the first of its kind between the two nations and will take effect once the instruments of ratification are exchanged.
