This month, companies will receive a notification with the tax information proposed for publication. The communication will also outline steps for correcting any errors prior to publication, including the deadline for responses.
The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has urged large corporate taxpayers to review their corporate tax transparency information ahead of the 2023–24 report. The report is scheduled for publication in early October.
Each year, the ATO is required to publish income tax information about large public and private companies in the Report of entity tax information on data.gov.au.
For the 2022–23 income year onwards, the corporate tax transparency population includes:
- any corporate tax entity with total income of AUD 100 million or more, and
- entities reporting petroleum resource rent tax (PRRT) payable.
This month, companies will receive a notification with the tax information proposed for publication. The communication will also outline steps for correcting any errors prior to publication, including the deadline for responses.
Companies meeting the threshold for inclusion in the 2023–24 report that have not received a notification by early September should contact Reporting EntityInfo@ato.gov.au.
This announcement was made by ATO on 22 August 2025.
