Armenia’s parliament approved the ratification of an income tax treaty with Hong Kong on 26 March 2025.
Signed on 24 June 2024, the Armenia – Hong Kong income tax treaty is the first between the two jurisdictions. To be ratified, the agreement must be enacted by the President and published in the Official Gazette.
Once ratification instruments are exchanged, it will apply in Armenia from 1 January and in Hong Kong from 1 April of the following year.
Earlier, Armenia’s Cabinet ratified the income tax treaty with Hong Kong on 12 December 2024.
