In a LinkedIn post, Slovenia’s Minister of Finance, Klemen Boštjančič, stated that officials from Argentina and Slovenia convened recently to negotiate an income and capital tax treaty between the two countries.
Double tax treaties (DTTs) are signed between nations to prevent the double taxation of income for individuals and businesses.
If any potential income tax agreement results from these negotiations, it will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalised, signed, and ratified before it can go into effect.
