Argentina set to initiate the inaugural automatic exchange of financial information under the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Argentina and the US for FATCA implementation.
The Argentine tax authority (AFIP) in a release announced that the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has confirmed Argentina’s compliance with the necessary data security measures and infrastructure.
The first exchange of information between the two nations is set for September 2024.
