On 2 June 2021, the Senate approved the revised draft bill, which introduces new progressive corporate income tax (CIT) rates starting from 1 January 2021. It was approved by the Chamber of Duties on 20 May 2021. According to the draft Bill, the progressive rate brackets on net taxable income are given below:

This draft Bill also proposed a reduction of the withholding tax rate on dividends from 13% to 7% as from 1 January 2021. The bill as approved in both houses of Congress must now be signed into law by the president and published in the Official Gazette. The provisions will apply retroactively from 1 January 2021.
