Argentina has lowered the interest rate on late tax payments from 1 June to 31 July, 2024.
New late payment rates
The compensatory interest rate for general late payments has been reduced to 6.41% per month for the period from 1 June to 31 July, 2024; which is down from 12.07% per month for the period from 1 April to 31 May, 2024.
The punitive interest rate for late payments, applicable when outstanding tax debts are referred to the courts for enforcement, is lowered to 7.39% per month for the period from 1 June to 31 July, 2024; which is down from 13.93% per month for the period from 1 April to 31 May, 2024.
The USD interest rates remain unchanged, the rates are set at 0.83% per month for compensatory interest and 1.0% per month for punitive interest.
