Argentina has published Decree 229/2018 of 16 March 2018 in the Official Gazette. It effects from January 1, 2018. Under Decree 379/2001, this decree changes and extends the effective date for providing incentive up to December 31, 2018.
This domestic capital goods manufacturing incentive will be appropriate for domestic manufacture of certain goods, including capital goods, IT and telecommunications equipment, and agricultural machinery and applied counter to income tax, excise taxes, and VAT. In accordance with the latest amendment, an 80% of the value as computed for credit with 6% or 8% was allowed for invoices issued up to extended date, December 31, 2018. In addition, taxpayers may apply to establish a deadline for the application of the benefit as of March 31, 2019.
