Argentina’s Chamber of Deputies approved the laws for the ratification of the pending income and capital tax treaties with China on 1 October 2024.
This income tax treaty aims to eliminate double taxation on income and capital, ensuring it does not create opportunities for non-taxation or reduced taxation through tax evasion or avoidance between the two countries.
The tax treaty was signed on 2 December 2018 and is the first between the two countries. It will come into effect 30 days after the exchange of ratification instruments and will apply from January 1st of the year following its entry into force.
