Angola’s President, Joao Lourenco, has signed Ratification Letter No. 1/25 in the Official Gazette on 31 March 2025, approving the pending income tax treaty with Rwanda.
Signed on 15 April 2022, it is the first treaty between the two countries and aims to prevent double taxation and fiscal evasion between Angola and Rwanda.
The treaty will take effect after ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the following year.
