Andorra has announced in a notice in the Official Gazette that it has ratified the income and capital tax treaty with Latvia  on 18 February 2025.

The agreement between the two nations aims to eliminate double taxation with respect to taxes on income and on capital and to prevent tax evasion and avoidance.

Signed on 21 September 2024, this is the first treaty between the two countries. It will take effect after ratification instruments are exchanged and apply from 1 January of the following year.

Earlier, Andorra’s General Council approved the ratification of the income and capital tax treaty with Latvia on 23 January 2025. Latvia also approved the ratification of a new income tax treaty with Andorra on 12 December 2024.
