Number of tax amendments has been made to the tax system of Indonesia which will be introduced in 2013. One of the amendments is the change of individual income tax threshold which will be increased to IDR 24,300,000 from IDR 15,840,000 as effective from January 2013. From 2013 individuals will require an electronic filing identification number for filing the Annual Income Tax return online. From April 2013 all taxable enterprises will require their own activation codes and passwords at the time of issuing tax invoices; otherwise these will be treated as incomplete.
Tax assessments cut-off period has been reduced to 5 years from previous 10 years. This indicate that the expiry date for the issuance of tax assessments will be the end of December 2013 for the fiscal year 2007, or part of the fiscal year 2007 as well as previous years.
