Belgium's tax authority has made available its Biztax e-filing platform for the 2025 income period, with a 30 September 2026 deadline for corporate returns and priority refund processing available for companies submitting by 28 August 2026.

Belgium’s Federal Public Service (SPF) Finance has launched its Biztax electronic filing platform on 30 April 2026, enabling companies to submit corporate income tax returns for the 2025 income period.

Companies with fiscal years ending between 31 December 2025 and 28 February 2026 must file their returns by 30 September 2026. This deadline applies to both resident and non-resident corporations subject to Belgian corporate tax.

The SPF Finance is offering an incentive for early submission. Taxpayers who file their returns by 28 August 2026 will receive priority processing for any tax refunds owed. Under normal circumstances, these refunds will be issued no later than the end of December 2026.

Importantly, early filing does not result in earlier payment obligations for those with tax liabilities. Companies filing in August will not be required to pay before those submitting in September, as payment processing only begins on 1 October 2026.

The Biztax platform is now accessible for corporate income tax returns, legal entity tax returns, and non-resident company tax returns for the current assessment year.
