The government of Honduras has opened a four-month tax amnesty window, running from 13 February to 15 June 2026, allowing individuals and businesses to regularise outstanding liabilities from before January 2026 without incurring penalties, surcharges or interest.

The government of Honduras has announced a temporary Tax Amnesty programme on 13 February 2026 aimed at helping taxpayers resolve outstanding fiscal debts and administrative obligations.

The relief window opened on 13 February 2026 and will remain in effect until 15 June 2026. During this period, eligible individuals and businesses may settle unpaid taxes or complete formal paperwork that remained pending as of 31 December 2025.

Taxpayers who comply within the designated four-month timeframe will be exempt from penalties, additional surcharges and accumulated interest that would otherwise apply to overdue amounts. The measure offers a limited opportunity to restore full legal standing without incurring additional financial burdens.

Authorities said the initiative is designed to facilitate more efficient tax collection while providing meaningful economic relief, enabling taxpayers to regularise their affairs under more favourable conditions.
