Slovenia signed the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on the Exchange of GloBE Information, joining 23 other countries in streamlining global tax compliance.

Slovenia has signed the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on the Exchange of GloBE Information (GIR MCAA) on 22 December 2025, the OECD confirmed.

The GIR MCAA is designed to facilitate the automatic exchange of GloBE information between tax administrations. By participating, jurisdictions help reduce the compliance burden for multinational enterprise (MNE) groups, allowing them to submit their GloBE Information Return centrally rather than separately to each tax authority.

Since its introduction, the agreement has seen growing international participation. A total of 25 countries have now signed the GIR MCAA, reflecting a coordinated global effort to streamline tax compliance under the GloBE framework.
