The customs cooperation agreement is aimed at enhancing trade facilitation and border security between the two countries.
Bahrain and Russia signed an agreement on mutual administrative assistance in customs matters on 18 June 2025.
The agreement is designed to deepen cooperation between Bahrain and Russia’s customs authorities through the exchange of information and technical expertise. It aims to facilitate trade, streamline customs procedures, and bolster border security and anti-smuggling measures, particularly in light of the growing pressures on global supply chains.
The agreement will take effect 30 days after the exchange of ratification instruments.
