ECOFIN’s final meeting under Poland’s Presidency approved a report outlining progress on key EU tax measures and ongoing international developments.

The Economic and Financial Affairs Council of the EU (ECOFIN Council) held its final scheduled meeting under the Polish Presidency on 20 June 2025. During the meeting, the Council approved a report to the European Council summarising progress on a range of indirect and direct tax measures.

The report highlights key legislative developments, including the adoption of the Directive on information exchange concerning Pillar Two (DAC9). It also provides updates on Directive proposals such as Unshell, Transfer Pricing, and BEFIT.

In addition to legislative matters, the report covers non-legislative actions, including the EU tax decluttering and simplification agenda. It further outlines ongoing developments at the OECD and United Nations levels relevant to EU tax policy.
