Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies has approved the 2022 Brazil-Poland Income Tax Treaty through Draft Legislative Decree No. 261/2024 on 13 February 2025.

The treaty, signed on 20 September 2022, is the first of its kind between the two nations. Its aim is to prevent double taxation and tax evasion.

The treaty now awaits Senate approval.

It will take effect three months after ratification instruments are exchanged and apply from 1 January of the following year.
