Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service has initiated a public consultation regarding the additional social contribution to net profits (Contribuição Social Para o Lucro Líquido, CSLL).

The consultation will be open from 4 October to 10 November, 2024.

CSLL was enacted through Provisional Measure No. 1.262 of 3 October 2024 and Normative Instruction No. 2.228 of 3 October 2024.

Provisional Measure No. 1.262  and  Normative Instruction No. 2.228 aim to adapt the Global Anti-Base Erosion Rules (GloBE Rules) into Brazilian legislation.

The Federal Revenue Service will oversee the regulation of the additional CSLL, ensuring compliance with the standards of a Qualified Domestic Minimum Top-Up Tax (QDMTT) as outlined in the GloBE rules.
