Kenya’s National Treasury has initiated a public consultation regarding the proposed income tax treaty with Switzerland, a public notice inviting comments was published on 11 September 2024.
The tax treaty is aimed to prevent double taxation with respect to income (DTA) with Switzerland.
The consultation is set to conclude on 11 October 2024.
This treaty, which remains unsigned, would mark the first of its kind between the two nations. To take effect, it must be finalised, signed, and ratified.
