The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) released a public notice regarding the implementation of the second phase of the Electronic VAT Invoicing System. The system is expected to assist businesses and the tax authority in obtaining real-time monitoring of VAT transactions.

An additional two thousand (2,000) VAT-registered taxpayers will be onboarded on the system from 5 to 11 September 2024 to issue electronic VAT invoices in the second phase.

The first phase of the Electronic VAT Invoicing System was launched for 600 VAT-registered taxpayers in May 2024.
