Turkey is in the final stages of adopting the Pillar Two global minimum tax, according to a report published in Anadolu Agency, a state-owned Turkish news agency.

Mehmet ĹžimĹźek, Treasury and Finance Minister, emphasised the significance of integrating the global minimum tax system in Turkey to preserve the nation’s taxation sovereignty and prevent yielding taxing authority to foreign jurisdictions.

He disclosed that Turkey’s preparations for implementing the tax have advanced to the final stages.

ĹžimĹźek acknowledged that certain investment incentives will be affected by the global minimum tax, but he assured that the government is actively devising alternative strategies to sustain investment encouragement despite the forthcoming tax adjustments.
