On 11 March 2024, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) of Nigeria released a public notice on X (formerly Twitter) about the launch of a self-registration feature on TaxPro-Max, its tax administration solution electronic platform. With the introduction of this feature, taxpayers can complete all registration processes with FIRS independently in the comfort of their offices or homes. Every newly registered corporate/business entity assigned a Tax Identification Number (TIN) automatically at the point of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) can now complete their registration with FIRS on the TaxPro-Max portal.
