On 27 July 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine decided to reduce its key policy rate from 25% to 22% per annum with effect from 28 July 2023. The interest rate has a tax effect on the late tax payment interest and penalties which is equal to 120% of the National Bank rate and which reduces the penalty interest rate from 30% to 26.4% per annum.
