On 26 January 2023, Turkey published Presidential Decision No. 6728 in the Official Gazette extending the exemption from corporate income tax (CIT) for income derived from Turkish lira (TRY) deposit and participation accounts converted from foreign currency. Accordingly, the exemption now applies to accounts that are recorded in the balance sheet as of 31 December 2022, whereas previously it applied to accounts recorded as of 30 September 2022.
