On 18 December 2020, Costa Rica’s Ministry of Finance has published the Resolution DGH-054-2020 and DGA-542-2020 providing reduced the interest rate for late tax payments and refunds of overpayments to 10.31% (from 10.54%). The rate is based on the average commercial lending rate of Costa Rica’s national banks and is effective from 1 January 2021.
