On 26 July 2021, the Polish Ministry of Finance has released a draft bill regarding the corporate income tax for public consultation. The bill includes the following proposals:
- Proposal to change the method of depreciation of assets acquired before being used in a business activity.
- Remove write-offs on residential buildings and premises from tax-deductible expenses.
- Expand the catalog of assets that are used in a business and the sale of which, once they cease to be used in business activity, would be subject to income tax from business operations.
- Provide consolidation facilities to help corporate taxpayers increase their visibility in international markets.
- Modification of the withholding tax collection system in order to limit the objective and subjective scope of the withholding tax refund system.
- Relaxation of the conditions for the creation and operation of tax capital groups and introduction of a new Polish holding company.
