On 10 October 2017, during a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Jordan and Cyprus, Ayman Safadi and Ioannis Kasoulides, emphasized the importance of concluding an agreement to avoid double taxation and an aviation agreement between the two countries. A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the two ministers set up a joint working group to directly promote the conclusion of the forthcoming bilateral agreement and to promote the exchange of companies and investment.
