South Africa’s National Treasury has invited taxpayers to submit any technical proposals to improve the tax legislation, including the closing of tax loopholes and unintended anomalies in the law.
The proposals will be considered for possible inclusion in the 2014 Budget Review, due in February next year. The review budget contains announcements for upcoming tax legislation, includes minor or miscellaneous proposals that address unintended anomalies, loopholes and technical matters requiring correction. The proposals submitted should not therefore include any major tax proposals.
