On 20 January 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine has decided to increase its key policy rate from 9% to 10% per annum with effect from 21 January 2022. The interest rate has a tax effect on the late tax payment interest and penalties which is equal to 120% of the National Bank rate and also increase in the penalty interest rate from 10.8% to 12% per annum.
