On 26 January 2021, the Parliament considered a Bill to extend the filing deadlines for the 2019 income tax returns of foreign tax residents up to 30 June 2021 instead of 26 February 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic. The Bill proposed to extend the payment deadline until 26 March 2021 in case of VAT, excise taxes and other charges related to alcoholic beverages and other alcoholic products. According to the draft Bill, an exemption was proposed from the special solidarity contribution on agricultural aid and subsidies granted to farmers for 2020.
