The Ministry of Finance (MoF) of Belgium issued the indexed amounts regarding the individual income tax for tax year 2017 and assessment year 2018, on 23 January 2017. Key changes are following:

Pensions
The tax due on pensions is decreased by EUR 2,024.12.
Savings deposits
Interest income on savings deposits is fully exempt up to EUR 1,880.
Basic allowance
Individual’s taxable income not more than EUR 27030 are entitled to a basic allowance of EUR 7570 and the basic allowance is EUR 7270 for individuals with a higher taxable income. The following basic allowance is increased with an allowance for children:
