The Social Security Agreement between Italy and Turkey will come into force on 1st August 2015. The agreement was signed in 2012. According to new provisions in the agreement, employees allotted between Italy and Turkey may stay in their home country scheme for the first 24 months working in the other country. The agreement permits employees to aggregate insurance periods in both countries in order to qualify for benefits of either of the two States and also gives some benefits in two countries.
